THE LUST LIST #1

Wednesday, 7 September 2016

For me, payday is finally approaching and to say August was a long month is an understatement. Between my birthday, a 50th birthday party, a wedding, an overnight trip to Edinburgh and redecorating, the eighth month of the year has left me truly skint. Fashion wise - this is probably my favourite time of year. I love the transition from summer to A/W. Due to swapping clothes shopping for home shopping and the sad state of affairs my bank account has been in, it's took me so much willpower not to yank out my credit card on so many occasions because right now, the shops are REALLY delivering. I wanted to share what I've got saved in my basket  I've got my eye on right now and it's been hard to limit my list wish to just these 5 pieces.

Lets start with this Velvet Lace Trim Cami from New Look. Right now, I'm loving cami tops and dresses over a plain white tee - it's my go to. Paired with jeans and flats, it can easily go to a night time outfit with a pair of heels and clutch. I used to have a love/hate relationship with velvet but it's so on trend for this A/W. This top is only £12.99 and also available in pink too which is equally as gorgeous.

Next up is this patchwork bag from Topshop that I've fallen in love with. I've become obsessed with all thing patchwork, embroidery, badges etc and this would look so good with a leather jacket, white shirt, black jeans and some red lipstick.

Onto these beautiful metallic mules from H&M. I've overindulged in mules this summer - they've been my go to shoes and I doubt I need another but these are just lovely. River Island had a similar pair I planned to buy but I much prefer the cross over design on these.

Another welcome addition to my accessory collection will be this black necktie from River Island. The inner ex air hostess in me will jump at any chance to wear a necktie. I've been a bit late to the choker trend, purely because I didn't think I could pull them off (I'm starting to experiment) but I much prefer neckties. I just think they are such a quirky extra to any outfit whether it be a shirt and jeans or a satin slip dress.

Lastly, another trend I'm totally late to the party with is this western belt. I have cheekily ordered one with my birthday money and can't wait for it to arrive. I love seeing these worn with mom jeans and I have sandals from ASOS which are all western belt buckles that will match this perfectly. This is from Topshop but you can get these from most high street stores at the moment.

I can't wait for payday to get here and I'm sure you'll know doubt see what I've indulged in on my Instagram (@whatamydidblog) when it finally comes. Have any of these items caught your eye? What are you loving at the moment and which shops are hitting the mark for you right now? I'd love to hear your thoughts below or you can tweet or IG me at @whatamydidblog. Thanks for reading.
