TWO BEAUTY MUST HAVES #1

Wednesday 14 September 2016

I'd been brainstorming ideas for a new post for the last few days when suddenly a lightbulb went off on my head and BINGO, this post was born. You may have seen my post on what I learned from my blogging break and I confessed that I wanted to stay more true to myself with my content. I want my blog to take a new direction and focus more on fashion/lifestyle - which is what I wanted my blog to be about from the outset. When I began blogging though, I started to naturally gravitate towards beauty because it's something I do also love and spend a fair amount of money on each month. I thought about dropping beauty completely but that just seems silly now however, I want to have a good balance of content. Rather than overload my blog with monthly favourites/reviews etc, I've decided to start a series called Two Beauty Must Haves were, basically stating the obvious, I'll share just two products I've been loving and have a little rave about them. So without further a do, let me introduce these two gems.

First up is the Milkshake Whipped Cream Leave In Conditioner. OH LORD, I can't get enough of this stuff. I must admit, when it comes to looking after my hair, I'm super lazy. Even brushing and blowdrying can be a chore and with the length it's currently at, it becomes unmanageable fairly easily. I was looking for a good leave in conditioner and after having a mooch online, ended up ordering this from Beauty Bay and it's been a complete game changer. It's a foam consistency that smells exactly like vanilla milkshake and a little goes a long way - you only need a tiny amount. Unlike most foams and mousses, it's extremely lightweight and non sticky so it's easy to distribute through your hair. It's sooooooo nourishing, feels luxurious, leaves your hair feeling soft, looking shiny and makes it much more manageable. My locks no longer look like Hagrid, look glossy and my hair overall just feels so much healthier. If you're in the business for a hair saviour, I can't recommend this enough. I've fallen in love.
The next beauty product(s) are a selection of nail polishes from KIKO. I'd heard lots of Youtubers and Bloggers rave about KIKO but didn't have a store near me. When one opened fairly local, I couldn't wait to try out their products. These nail polishes stand out to me so much. Why I hear you ask out of everything? They are so long wearing, hardly chip and best of all are £1 .. Yes you heard me right, £1!!! The range of shades they have are incredible and I love the wear I get out of these. I can do dishes, hit the gym, travel etc and 3 days later, my nails will still look as good as new. I'm fussy when it comes to polishes and I'm an Essie loyal but considering the price of these, they are almost too good to be true. Great colours, great formulation and super affordable - what more could you want?

What do you think of this series? I'm swaying towards making it very regular just because I think it's great to hear about a couple of products at a time than a massive haul/favourites. I'd love to hear your thoughts - it's always daunting switching your content up and wondering if your readers will still enjoy it. As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts below and also, what you've been loving lately! You can also tweet me at @whatamydidblog.
